광복절은 우리 민족이 오랜 식민 지배에서 벗어나 자유와 독립을 되찾은 날입니다.

순국선열들의 희생과 헌신을 기억하며, 나라 사랑의 마음을 되새기는 하루가 되시길 바랍니다.

태극기 게양 안내

광복절에는 모든 가정과 건물에서 태극기를 게양해 주시기 바랍니다.

태극기는 오전 7시부터 해질 무렵까지 게양하며, 우천 시에도 실내에서 게양 가능합니다.

Commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of Korea’s Liberation Day

August 15, 2025 (Friday) marks the 80th anniversary of Korea’s Liberation Day, a historic moment when the Korean people regained their independence after decades of colonial rule.

In honor of this significant day, please note the following:

 Holiday Schedule

• We will be closed on Friday, August 15, 2025
• Regular operations will resume on Monday, August 18, 2025

 The Meaning of Liberation Day
Liberation Day, known as Gwangbokjeol in Korean, commemorates the restoration of national sovereignty in 1945.
This year marks 80 years since that pivotal moment in history. It is a time to reflect on the sacrifices made by countless individuals who fought for freedom, and to celebrate the enduring values of peace, independence, and resilience.

National Flag Display
On this day, it is customary to display the Korean national flag (Taegukgi) at homes and buildings.

• Recommended time: From 7:00 AM until sunset
• In case of rain, indoor display is encouraged
